METAL FABRICATION

METAL FABRICATION

Metal and steel fabrication is the process of shaping and forming metal using techniques such as bending and pressing to create structures and products. If you're looking to create a unique product, build a custom structure, or simply need a high-quality, durable solution to a problem, custom precision fabrication is a perfect choice. The versatility and customization options make it ideal for many projects, from small-scale production runs to one-off creations.

CAPABILITIES

Metal Punching

Metal punching is a metal fabrication process that uses a punch press to create holes or shapes in metal sheets or plates. The punch press applies a force to a punch, which is then pressed through the metal, creating a hole or shape. The punch and die shape match the desired final shape of the hole or cutout.

WDF is capable of performing various metal fabrication processes such as punching and forming. We can process sheet metal with multiple thicknesses and have the ability to perform complex shapes, contours, and holes with high precision and speed.

Metal Forming

Metal forming is a metal fabrication process that involves shaping metal by applying force. Bending, stamping, and rolling are used to change the shape and size of the metal to create specific parts and structures. We are capable of performing precision bending and forming of metal sheets. It can bend metal up to 2.2m long, with a capacity of up to 220 tons.

The machine is equipped with a high-precision back gauge and offers a wide range of tooling options, allowing for a variety of complex shapes and custom forming. WDF also can work with a wide range of materials, including steel, aluminum, and stainless steel.

Press Brakes

The WDF press brakes can form metal up to 14 ft long, with a capacity of up to 220 tons. They are equipped with high-precision back gauges and offer a wide range of tooling options. Allowing for a variety of complex shapes and custom forming. WDF also can work with a wide range of materials.

Fastener Insertion

Self-clinching fasteners speed up the assembly process and provide for a higher quality finished product.  We can insert studs, standoffs, nuts, pins, and panel fasteners from #0 to 3/8" (M2 to M10) into steel, and up to 1/2" (M12) into fiberglass and aluminum using our 6-Ton Haeger insertion machine.

BENEFITS OF SERVICE

  • Traditional metal fabrication techniques can create a wide range of products and structures.

  • Metal fabrication allows for the creation of customized products to specific needs and requirements.

  • Metal fabrication produces products that are strong, durable, and resistant to wear and tear.

  • Traditional metal fabrication techniques can be cost-effective, especially for small-scale production runs or one-off products.

  • Traditional metal fabrication is considered green manufacturing as it does not require any additional chemical process, is energy-efficient, and has a low environmental impact.
